How do you use AI for work? / How do you use AI for life or personal interests? I use AI as a way to help generate possibilities when brainstorming, a sparring partner to help me uncover where my thinking may be flawed or missing and as a synthesis partner. I’m a verbal processor so I love to think aloud and then have it play back to me what I just said to get at the heart of the matter. I do not outsource tasks via agents yet, although my husband does regularly.
What is your favorite AI tool? My favorite AI tool recently to experiment with is Oniri- a dream analysis tool. I am not someone who dream journals so I miss that rich insight from my unconscious otherwise. I am never confused though that this is just a tool— so it can be an interesting mirror from which I can decide what does and does not resonate. That said, I am still very cautious about people sharing their deeply personal inner life with AI, particularly if they don’t own that data and/or trust the companies. I always ask myself— what is the real world social transfer from this AI exchange— so the time with AI brings me closer to me real world goals, not further from them.
Perspective on AI: I’m not anti-AI; I am pro-human.
